ENGLISH AND ICT

I found this course very interesting, and with many possibilities of application in my everyday job. I liked a lot the timing, so in 4 days you have a wide vision of ICT. Maybe the same timing I liked so much is also a problem, because we saw so many apps that nowadays I'm a bit confused about some of them. I need a bit of time to get used to them and to apply them to my classes.
I loved to know about new apps I didn't even know they existed, and I would have liked to try wordpress instead of blogger, as I'm a bit used to that one. I would have liked to have a bit more time to try wikis, google sites, google docs, for example, as they were in the planning and we didn't see them.
In spite of that, it has been a very good experience! Wordle: English and ICT

FOTOBABBLER AND GLOGSTER

The two apps I liked the most have been fotobabbler, bookr and glogster, because I found them very easy to use and the ones I can apply best in my classes.
With fotobabbler you only need a microphone and a photo. I find it useful to work with the youngest ones, asking them to describe their everyday routine, hobbies, family, etc. It's a funny way to do "writings". If you don't want to use voice, then bookr is perfect for that kind of activity.
With glogster I tried an activity my students of 4 ESO are doing nowadays. They have to choose a song and talk about the theme, singer, etc. They can use video clips, or other kinds of video. Some of them have tried this app, so I will tell you about the result!

ABOUT ME

My name is Ana Belén, although almost everybody calls me simply Belén. I was born in Valencia, and studied and lived there until 1998, when I moved to Mallorca and became an English teacher here in a Secondary School.
I have worked at IES PUIG DE SA FONT since 2001, teaching English and French.
I participate in a Comenius project entitled Every Human is Unique - we love trash. Our purpose is to create art objects and jewellery out of recycling items. Finland, Portugal and Luxemburg also participate in this project.
You can have a look at our project blog:      http://we3trash.blogspot.com/
Nowadays I'm attending a course about English and ICT. I like using new resources in my classes, but I don't usually have time to update my ICT knowledge, so I found in this course the opportunity to do so.
I would like to learn a lot of resources to use with my students.
